Bramhall and Shaw Heath Medical group is a training practice. The main surgery is a Partner owned property within an old established building, located on the outskirts of the village centre. There is local parking. There are clinical patient areas on both the ground floor and the first floor, with disabled access at the back of the building with part of the administration team housed on the top floor. Our second site is in Shaw Heath Health Centre - a purpose built health centre established in the 1970s. The combined sites care for a patient list size of approximately 14,100 patients.

Both sites have car parks, with access and toilet facilities for disabled patients and baby change facilities at Bramhall Park Medical Centre.

As part of the Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme Primary Care Network, Bramhall and Shaw Health Medical provided coronavirus vaccination services from a satellite site at Manchester Rugby Club, Cheadle Hulme from December 2020 to July 2021 and Woodford Community Centre, Woodford in the winter of 2021. These sites are also accessible for wheelchair users with disabled parking and toilet facilities.

General Information

We endeavour to treat all our patients to the best of our ability and to do this with dignity, respect and honesty.  Everyone at Bramhall & Shaw Heath Medical Group is committed to deliver an excellent service.  We ask all patients to highlight any concerns and address these professionally.

Continuity of Care

Building and maintaining a strong relationship between doctors, health professionals, and patients is essential to the way we work. This is especially so in the management of ongoing problems or long-term illness. In these circumstances we encourage patients to continue seeing the same health professional and wherever possible we will facilitate this through our appointments system. However, for a new problem, and where the doctor or nurse that you normally see is not available, or if you would wish to see someone else, then we would encourage you to see any of the doctors or nurses at the practice.

Learning and Training

  • We are a proud accredited teaching practice, providing placement to both Foundation Trainees and Speciality GP Trainees, in addition to hosting medical students at different stages of their medical degree course.
  • As a training practice we are committed to the training of doctors and nurses.  We believe in “life-long learning” and all the health professionals and administrative staff undertake an annual appraisal whereby learning and development needs are identified.

Information Governance

We are fully compliant with the Data Protection Act. Confidentiality is maintained at all times by the practice team.

Patient Reference Group

We are currently in the process of re-establishing both a Patient Participation Group and Patient Virtual Group. This will comprise of a group who will be involved online only.  We value their contribution and feedback from patient surveys and suggestions.
