Book An Appointment

We will ask all patients who can to contact us via the form on our website whether the matter is urgent or routine.

Accurx logo If you need help with an urgent medical, non-urgent medical or an admin request, you can now contact us online by clicking here.

We want you to complete the online form as fully as possible giving as much detail as possible about your condition

These forms will go to the doctor, who will assess your case and provide the best outcome – this may be self-care advice, a prescription or an appointment with the best member of the team to help you – this may not be a doctor.

We have a range of medically qualified experts available to help – Community Pharmacists, First Contact Practitioners, Advance Nurse Practitioner as well as other services. By using the whole team this means our doctors’ are available to deal with the most complex queries in a timely manner.

For people who cannot access the internet you will always be able to phone us – our team will be happy to help. They will go through the relevant questions with you on the phone. All the answers are dealt with by a Doctor so you do not gain or lose priority by contacting us this way.

In Summary:

  1. Contact the practice via our website (or phone if you cannot access the website) to let us know your medical issue.

  2. Your form will be reviewed by a Doctor who will determine the best course of action: advice, a prescription or an appointment (on the day or routine) with an appropriate clinician.

Training Practice

Bramhall & Shaw Heath Medical Group are an accredited training practice, something which we are very proud of. We host medical students, foundation doctors (who are in the first two years post qualification) and GP Registrars (doctors who are undergoing the 3 year speciality GP training, after completing their foundation years).

The stages to becoming a GP, post graduation, is a 5-year process. It is very important to the practice to support both Health Education England and the Manchester Deanery with this process helping to grow and shape future medical professionals thus aiding the development of the future NHS workforce.

Appointments may be booked with one of the trainees who all work under the direct supervision of the practice's doctors.

Extended Hours

  • The practice provides a variety of appointments outside of our normal opening hours. These appointments are intended for use by patients who find it difficult to attend the practice during our normal opening hours.

They include late evening appointments every Wednesday at Shaw Heath Centre till 8pm and Saturdays once a month also at Shaw Heath Health Centre.  These appointments must be booked in advance. Please seek further information from our reception team.
