The Practice now opens every Saturday morning at Shaw Heath.  This service is for patients who work and cannot attend on weekdays

Doctors

Dr Nicholas J Devine (m)
M.B.Ch.B. M.R.C.G.P. D.R.C.O.G

Our senior partner Dr Devine qualified in 1983 at Manchester University. He joined the Practice in October 1988 which he says seems like yesterday. He lists his clinical interests as blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and minor surgery.
Dr Devine is happily married and enjoys keeping fit and playing golf (badly). He also admits to owning 5 bicycles!
Dr Michael J Rooney (m)
M.B.Ch.B. M.R.C.G.P. D.G.M.

Dr Rooney qualified in 1983 having completed his studies in Manchester. He lists his clinical interests as diabetes, asthma, manipulation and injection of joints. Dr Rooney is an expert witness in personal injury work.

He was captain of the Manchester Medical School Rugby Team and is proud to report that he ran the first ever London Marathon. Prior to joining the Practice in 1989 he spent one year as a GP in Australia.

He is the Chief Executive of Mastercall Services Ltd, which provides an out of hours service for Stockport, Trafford and Manchester

Dr Rooney is married with 3 children, 1 dog and many fish. When he has some spare time he enjoys golf, supporting rugby, dog walking, running and music.
Dr Ashwin M Patel (m)
M.B.Ch.B. M.R.C.G.P. D.R.C.O.G D.F.F.P

Dr Patel qualified in Manchester in 1994 and joined the Practice in 2000. He lists his specific clinical interests as cardiovascular medicine, minor surgery and GP education.

He currently runs the GP Training Scheme at Stepping Hill Hospital and has published books in this field. He is a board member of the local medical committee and Director of Stockport Managed Care which commissions healthcare for the population of Stockport.

Dr Patel is married and has 2 children. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf
Dr Alex Bayes (m)
M.B.Ch.B. M.R.C.G.P.

Dr Bayes qualified in 1999 at Manchester University. He completed his GP training in Salford in 2003 and joined the practice in 2006. He lists his clinical interests as cardiovascular medicine, respiratory medicine and diabetes.

He is happily married with one child. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, going to the gym, music and supporting Manchester United!

Dr Siriwardena qualified in 1983 at Edinburgh and joined the Practice in 1999.
Dr Emma Webster (f)
M.B.Ch.B M.R.C.G.P D.R C.O G D.F.F.P

Dr Webster qualified at Manchester University in 1996 and joined the Practice in 2003. Her specific clinical interests include Gynaecology, sexual health, children, coil fitting and child health. She is married with two children.

Dr Stirling qualified at Manchester University in 2001 and joined the Practice in 2006. Her specific clinical interests include Dermatology and Women's Health. She is married with a daughter and one cat.
